When the crew of an American tugboat boarded an abandoned Russian research vessel, the alien life form onboard saw them original post as a virus that needed to be eradicated by any means necessary.
When Virus was released in 1999, the original script had already been written. The special effects that would have been necessary weren't feasible at the time, therefore it was turned into a comic book by Dark Horse Comics. The narrative would eventually be made into a film, but at what cost?
